DUSK MAKES AN EXIT FROM ESPORTS

It saddens us to announce that as of today we are disbanding our Apex Legends team and making our exit from eSports for the foreseeable future. This was not an easy decision for us to make and has been something we have been contemplating for a number of months. There are a lot of factors that come into play when putting together a roster, especially in the amateur competitive scene. The synergy between the players and the availability those players have to practice and improve as a team while balancing their IRL priorities is a major deciding factor for long-term success. Unfortunately, as a startup and being a 100% self funded organization, we are very limited with the capital to invest into eSports. We do not have the luxury to cover player salaries which would in turn allow those players to focus all their attention on grinding to consistently be at the top of their game. Without the necessary funding, we have come to the honest realization that we will always be fighting an uphill battle with no end in sight. As a brand, we pride ourselves on our values and being as transparent as we can with our community. We hope this brings some clarity to the reasons why we have come to this decision. This does not mean that we will not return to the competitive scene, it simply means we are not in a position right now to make it successful.

With all this being said, we would like to thank GemuNeen, Zora, Spaceman, and Dezsu for believing in us and doing the best they could to make things work. We wish them all the success in the world as they continue to pursue other opportunities and make a name for themselves. Finally, we would not be able to do any of this without our incredibly committed team manager, Sonar. We are excited to share that Sonar will be staying in DUSK and helping us grow the organization in a leadership capacity. We want to thank everyone who has been on this journey with us since the beginning when our Call of Duty team competed at NJROD. Despite our limited success, the endless support we received means the world to us and proves how incredible our community truly is. Moving forward, our plans are to focus on creating more content, growing our community to bigger heights, and launching our long awaited apparel line. We look forward to sharing some exciting news with all of you very soon.
